Tina Turner who is a famous American and Swiss singer and writer was born as  Anna Mae Bullock.

She was born on 26th November , 1939.

Tina Turner is famed for her name “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll“. She started her career in a band and later went out as a solo entertainer.

Tina Turner started with the Ike and Tina Revue. It was a husband and wife band that spanned between 1960 to 1976.

She has metamorphosed greatly from her days as Little Ann in Ike Turner’s Kings of Rhythms in 1957 to Tina Turner.

Her first single came in 1960 and she titled it ” A fool in Love”.

Along with her husband Ike, they former love birds came out with songs like River Deep, Proud Mary, Gonna work out fine, among others.

The husband and wife band was disbanded in 1976.

After the disbandment of the band, Tina Turner went on a four year hibernation , before bouncing back with a what has been described as greatest comeback.

She came out with her Private Dancer in 1980.

The album included her “What’s Love Got to Do with It” song. This was a song which won the singer and writer a Grammy Award. She was awarded for being the record of the year.

Not only did,she win an award with it. The song also went as high as number one on the Billboard Hot 100.

She earned the title of being the oldest female singer to have achieve that feat at 44 years.
