Who was Qails Muhammad?

He was a 17 year old boy from Bradford.

He was running away from the police on a bonfire night.

The bonfire night happened on the Vickerman Street in Halifax.

The 17 year old teen had to climb a fence as he tried fleeing from the police.

Qais then fell off  crashing through a greenhouse after the climb.

He was injured while running through a back garden on the street of Halifax.

The teen was rushed to hospital and the medical team could not save him. He died tragically from his injuries.

The bonfire began when a group of young boys according to locals started firing  rockets on streets.

This happened even as cars drove by.

Police confirm the death of Qais Muhammad.

An eye witness who is a 33 year old woman said: “He jumped onto the greenhouse and that is how he got injured.”

She said “It was an accident. There was nothing we could do.”

She said she called the ambulance after she noticed that Qais was injured.

She further added that residents had to attend to him through a phone guidance.

This they did with the instruction from emergency service providers, before the arrival of the ambulance.

A spokesperson for the Yorkshire police said : “Police were contacted by the ambulance service shortly before 8:15pm yesterday evening (Saturday, November 5) following reports of an injured male in the garden of a property on Vickerman Street, Halifax.

“The 17-year-old male was taken to hospital where, sadly, he died of his injuries. A scene is currently on in the area as officers establish the full facts of what has happened.

“The matter has been reported to the Independent Office of Police Conduct (IOPC) as police were called to the vicinity due to a report of fireworks being set off prior to the incident.”
