He was a British singer, guitarist , actor and songwriter.

He was a proud member of Dr. Feelgood, a pub rock/rhythm and blues band.

This was popular band back in the 1970s. Wilko Johnson was famed for his way of playing the guitar which was so distinctive in style.

He his unique way of playing the instrument was done using fingerstyle rather than using a pick.

This amazing style of his, made him do what many could not.

Wilko Johnson was able to get his guitar to play rhythm as well as a riff/solos at the same time.

He said:”Wilko may not be as famous as some other guitarists, but he’s right up there. And there are a lot of people who’ll say the same. I can hear Wilko in lots of places. It’s some legacy.”

He said “They said they wanted somebody really sinister who went around looking daggers at people before killing them. That made it easy. Looking daggers at people is what I do all the time, it’s like second nature to me’.”

She was the only wife of the famous guitarist and singer. Irene Knight got married to Wilko while they were still teenagers.

Irene Knight was a childhood girl friend of Wilko, who later became his  wife at that teenage age.

The several years of peaceful  and controversies free marriage in which they were, produced two children.

The two kids that Irene Knight shared with her husband are Matthew and Simon Johnson.

Irene Knight died in 2004 from cancer. She was survived by her husband, who is now deceased.

He died on 21st November,2022 at the age of 75.

He died from the very disease that killed his wife.

The singer and guitarist who was rushed to hospital in 2012 over an unknown had cancer.

He was diagnosed of the disease in 2013 and the disease was said to be at its final stage.

His type of cancer was pancreatic cancer and he choose not to receive chemotherapy.

He reportedly died at home.
