Ianos Carolea will be our focus in this article. We will examine his crime and why he escaped jail after being caught masturbating.

Who is Ianos Carolea?

He is a 37 year old man.

He used to work as a cleaner and hails from Romania.

lanos Carolea is said to resided at the Hermitage in Balgriffin, Dublin 13.

He has pleaded guilty to masturbating in public at the Marks and Spencer.

This is located at Mary Street in Dublin City centre. The incident happened on 8th June,2021 and was at the HSE contact tracing centre at Heuston South Quarter.

Judge Bryan Smyth, the judge who sat on the case rather  fined him €500.

Ianos Carolea caught on two occassion martubating.

He did this masturbation while he was working at a contact tracing center.

He was arrested during an operation in the public toilets of the Marks & Spencers branch when the act allegedly took place.

This seems to be Carolea’s first offence as he has no history of criminal convictions.

His solicitor Michael Kelleher said the incident was a devastating one to him and brought personal damages to him.

Ianos Carolea is said to have gone for psychotherapy and is receiving support from his relatives.

His solicitor pleaded with the judge that he has promised never to do it again and that he pleaded guilty at every opportunity he is given.

He is no  longer a cleaner, but now works in construction and has a weekly wage of about €250.

He is also working hard to gaining more opportunity to work and earn more money.
