Their daughter who was also with them in what was meant to be a once in a lifetime experience sustained serious injuries.
Their daughter, who is Regina Itzani managed to save her life when she jumped out of the burning balloon.
In the process, Regina Itzani broke her arm and had burns too.
Her burns have been described as second-degree burns.
What led to this incident that claimed the lives of Jose Nolasco and Viridiana Becerril?
The two who are said to have come from the City of Caujimalpa de Morelos went for the experience of their lives of the Teotihuacan run “pre-Hispanic” site. This is a popular tourist site in the area.
It is not clear if there was a pilot with them or not as the incident was captured by bystanders who were around to captured what was meant to be a joyous moment of the family.The video as captured by the bystanders showed “the gondola hurtled to the ground as occupants appeared to either fall out or jump out”.
The incident is still under investigation by the police as there are reports that the incident might have been caused by a “the fuel storage system”.
