The couple traveled Tralee for the funeral of Bridget O’Brien, who is a mother of five.
This happened just after 11 am on 5th October,2022.
He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body has since been taken to University Hospital Kerry.
The incident is believed to have taken place at a funeral of a local woman in Tralee on Wednesday morning, shortly after 11am.
A gardai statement confirms the incident. The statement said:
“Gardaí are currently attending the scene of a serious assault which occurred this morning at Rathass Cemetery, Tralee, Co. Kerry, Wednesday 5th October 2022.
“Scene is currently preserved pending a full technical examination.
“No further information is available at this time.”
