Who was Marcel Kusenda?
He was a 47 year old man from Kildare in Ireland.
Kusenda was originally from Slovakia, but has been staying in Ireland for 20 years now.
He is the father of Marcel Jr, his son.
The 47 year old died from his injuries at the Naas General Hospital.
Kusenda was discovered with what was described as serious injuries. He was discovered outside of a house in Newbridge specifically in the Piercetown in Kildare.
Marcel Kusenda was said to have been a target after row with others. The incident occurred at a house.
What Marcel Kusenda son said about his father’s death?
His son who also goes by the name Marcel said he is in a state of immerse grief.
He is also hoping that he will get justice for his late father.
Marcel Jnr who spoke to the Irish Mirror from his base in Slovakia said: “It is very difficult and I don’t know what to do now.
“This hurts so much and my dad just didn’t deserve to die like this. Not in this terrible way.”
He added that his late father loved it in Ireland. He further added that he does not know the exact thing that happened, but was quick to say his dad “was attacked two times before he was brought to hospital”.
He also spoke about his pain adding: “I don’t know anything else. I just feel pain and I hope for justice.”
The grieving Marcel Jnr. also paid tribute to his date dad on social media. He wrote: “My daddy, rest in peace.
“Thank you for everything you have done for me.
“You gave me a lot of advice in life, you helped me a lot in everything you could. I hope you find your peace.
“You are already in heaven together with your father, whom I loved very much as well as you. I love you so much.
“I am very sad for what happened and there is no one human being who deserves to suffer like this. Let’s hope his killer will never leave jail for what he has done.”
Who is the suspect in the assault of Marcel Kusenda?
Gardai have arrested a suspect in relation to his assault.
The suspect in the assault of Kusenda is a man in his 30s.
The suspect is being questioned at the Newbridge Garda station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
He is said to have done this with others and source even told the Irish Mirror that the case is likely to be ungraded to a murder investigation.
The source added that:“It’s all still at a very early stage but what’s known is that he was with a group of people, a row kicked off and a number of people are suspected to be involved in beating him. It was a very severe beating, they kicked the living s**t out of him.”
A postmortem is expected to perform on Kusenda body as the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
The suspect in the assault of late Marcel Kusenda was arrested on Wednesday, 8th March around 10.30am.
