Who was John Coakley?
He was a 40 year old man. John Coakley went missing and there was a search for the 40 year old.
He was a family man and a father of one for that matter.
John Coakley was from Carlow and went missing since 15th April,2023.
Garda made the shocking discovery last Monday .
His remains were found at a place not far from which is known as Orchard in Leighlinbridge, Co Carlow.
Garda issue a statement following the discovering of John Coakley body.
Coakley remains were found around 3.30pm in Co Carlow. He was pronounced dead at the scene when Garda and emergency service providers got to the scene.
John Coakley’s body was taken to University Hospital Waterford.

It is expected that a postmortem examination will be carried out.
A Garda statement said: “Located Deceased – missing person John Coakley, 40 Years, Carlow, 15th April 2023.
“Following the discovery of a body of a male on Monday 5th June in County Carlow, the missing person appeal for John Coakley has been stood down.
“An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media and the public for their assistance. No further information is available at this time.”
The funeral arrangement of the late 40 year old is yet to be announced.Scores of mourners are paying their respect to him in this website that has been set up on his death: rip.ie.
One mourner is quoted to have said: “So sorry to hear that your son John has passed away. It’s the hardest thing any parent has to face in life. My thoughts and prayers are with John and all his family. May he rest in peace.”
