Who was Glenn Fullam?

Glenn Fullam had served with the Defence Forces since 2017 and was a member of the Irish Air Corps.

He was an Irish football player  who played for Crumlin United FC.He had also played for Stella Maris FC, before joining Crumlin.

He also played for his country Ireland through the Irish Defence Forces football team.

He had a partner by name Kirsty with whom he had a son.

He used to live at Blackrock as explained by his brother Jason Fullam who survived him.

Glenn Fullam was also a soldier with the Irish Air Corps. He reportedly joined the Service back in 2017 as DF.

The late Crumlin United FC player had served the army with “UNIFIL 114 INF BN and CIS in the Irish Air Corps”.

He has been described as someone with “unwavering commitment to his friends and family, his duty to the Air Corps and his exceptional skills and passion for soccer”.

Tributes pour in for Glenn Fullam.

There have been an out pour of tributes for the late soldier. His brother wrote this on Facebook about Gleen: “There are no words to explain the pain of this. A True Soldier. Love you so much. Your big bro Jay.”

There have been a tribute from Crumlin United, where he used to play soccer as they described him as “shining light.”

Their statement said: “Everyone at Crumlin United Football Club wish to pay their condolences to Kirsty, her son and John and all Fulham family and brother to current player Lee on the sudden passing of Glenn.

“Glenn you will be sadly missed by everyone at the club your smile and positivity was like a shining light. RIP.”

The army where he served since 2017 paid tribute to him too. The Army statement said: “It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of Airman Glenn Fullam from CIS.

“Glenn was not just a colleague, but a dear friend to many of us. His dedication, professionalism, and kind-hearted nature will always be remembered.

“Glenn was known for his warm smile, his sense of humour and his devotion to his soccer teams, including the DF International Soccer Team. Glenn will be deeply missed by all of us. During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with Glenn’s family, friends, and loved ones.

“Rest in peace, Glenn Fullam. You will be forever remembered and greatly missed. Thank you for your service and your friendship.”

There was also a tribute from his former club, Stella Maris FC.

They said Glenn Fullam will be “hugely missed” by the football community.

Their Twitter message said: “All at Stella wish to send their condolences to the family & friends of former Stella Star Glenn Fullam hugely missed by the football community & by all at his current team @crumlinunited. Taken too young”.

Glenn Fullam cause of death

The cause of death of the GAA player was not disclosed. He was said to have died suddenly. The specific illness that took his life suddenly was not disclosed.
