Who is Mark Drakeford? Clare Buckle husband.
He was born on 19th September,1954. He is a Welsh first Minister of Wales. Mark Drakeford has also been the leader of the Welsh labour and occupy that position since,2018.

He was born in Carmarthen and had his education at the Universities of Kent and Exerter.
His area of specialization was in Latin. Mark Drakeford was in the academia where he became a professor of Social Policy and Applied Social Sciences at Cardiff University between 2003 to 2013.
During the 2021 Senedd election, Mark Drakeford, who is the leader of the Welsh labour led them to a working majority.
They won 30 seats and he was appointed as first Minister.

She is the wife of the first Minister of Wales. Clare Buckle was a 66 year old woman.
She got married to Mark Drakeford in 1977. Clare Buckle and Drakeford has been married for 46 years.
Mark Drakeford in 2022 had to separate from her to keep her safe during much of the pandemic period.

The pair lived in separate homes at the time so as not to expose her, as he described her as being “vulnerable”.
He told ITV at the time that: “I’ve been married for a very long time and not to be in the house and to be at a physical distance, even though we saw each other every day and talked every day, it was a puzzling experience in that sort of way and for that to be over it is a bit emotional for everybody.”
Clare was also living with her elderly mother at the time.
She had three children with her husband.

A welsh government spokesperson broke the news. Their statement said: “It is with deep sadness that we confirm the sudden passing of Clare Drakeford, wife of the First Minister.
“The thoughts of everyone in the Welsh Government are with the family at this time and we ask that their privacy is respected.”
Clare Buckle cause of death was not disclosed.
Tributes have been pouring in for her. Jane Dodds, who is Welsh Liberal Democrat Leader said: “My thoughts are with the First Minister and his family at this very difficult time.
“On behalf of everyone in the Welsh Liberal Democrats, I extend our deepest condolences to Mark, his family and friends.”
She was not alone in the tribute section, Nicola Sturgeon, First Scotland Minister also sent his “love and strength” for Drakeford for his loss.
He added:”My thoughts are with Mark and his family at this terribly sad time,” Ms Sturgeon tweeted.
“On the occasions I met Clare it was obvious how strong the bond between her and Mark was, and I can only imagine the depth of grief he is feeling.”Sending him love and strength.”
Adam Price,Plaid Cymru leader also tweeted: “My heart is absolutely breaking for @PrifWeinidog after hearing of the sudden passing of his wife, Clare Drakeford.
“I know how close you were and there are no words to describe the pain you must be feeling. My thoughts are with you and your family. We’re all here for you Mark.”
