Who was Brian Reynolds?Man who was alleged attack by gang of men with hammers in Drogheda

Who was Brian Reynolds?

He is  man from Drogheda who was in his 40s.

Brian Reynolds was the owner of a Kits Stop N Shop in the Rathmullen Park area of Drogheda.

He was said to have been found with injuries described as serious. Brian Reynolds was found in an apartment around 7.30pm on 22nd December, 2022 which was on a Thursday.

He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes hospital immediately and that was where he died.

He stayed at the hospital for two days and died on 24th December.

How was Brian Reynolds attacked?

He was attacked by by some men  who were said  to armed with harmful equipment such as hammers and this happened on Thursday night.

These men  who can only be described as thugs broke his apartment.

Brian Reynolds was staying at the Rathmullan Park in the Co Louth town and that was where the attack happened.

Gardai on a manhunt for Brian Reynolds attackers?

Gardai have been reported to be awaiting a post mortem report to determine how  their investigation will go.

A Gardai statement on the case read: “all of the circumstances of the death of a man who was discovered with serious injuries on Thursday, December 22 and subsequently passed away on Saturday, December 24.”

The Gardai statement continue:

“He was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda where he passed away on the evening of Saturday 24th December 2022.

“The office of the State Pathologist and local Coroner have been notified and a post-mortem examination will be conducted on Monday, the results of which will assist in determining the course of the investigation.

A full technical examination of the scene at Rathmullan Park has been conducted by the Divisional Scenes of Crime Unit.

Gardai are now appealing for anyone with information that can assist with the investigation to come forward.

Brian Reynolds attack linked to the discovery of stolen cigarettes in the area.

His attack was said to be linked to the discovery of stolen cigarettes in the town.

The discovery was made in the earlier part of this week.
