Who was Alexandra Briess?
She was a 17 year old girl. She is the daughter of David Briess, who is a doctor and her mother Tanya who is also practicing Nurse.
Alexandra used to live at “Henley-On-Thames, Oxfordshire” with her parents.
She is said to have died after “an allergic reaction to a drug given to her during a routine surgery”.
The teenager was given “rocuronium” which is an anaethetic drug. This was after her tonsils were taken away at the popular Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading back in 2021.

Response of NHS to Alexandra Briess death?
The death of the 17 year old has sparked a new discussion about the “growing number of young people killed by anaphylaxis.”
The NHS response is that hospital admissions for anaphylactic saw a shock for adults as it “increased from 3,751 to 4,756 from 2019 to 2020”.
The anaphylactic condition is one which mostly comes through “insect stings, medicine and food” and it is believed that it kills about “10 per cent of people who experience it”.
