Who is the man who died in the fire in Kerry on St Stephen’s Day?

There has been a fire incident in a house in Co Kerry. The sad incident happened today, St Stephen’s day.

The fire reportedly broke out in the first few hours of the morning.

The house is in Glenflesk in a small village which is located outside of Killarney.

Firefighters have to rushed to the scene to fight off the braze and they eventually did, but with some death reported.

A man who is said to be in his 6os perished in the fire.

His body was recovered after the fire incident. A report from RTE news as cited by the Irish Mirror say the coroner has been notified of his death.

His name was not been disclosed, but post mortem is expected to be done on his body.

Gardai confirms the death of the man who died in the fire  in Kerry on St Stephen’s Day

A Gardai spokesperson is said to have indicated that: “Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a house fire in Glenflesk Co. Killarney. The fire occurred in the early hours of this morning, Monday, 26th December 2022.

“The fire has been extinguished by local fire services.

“The body of a person has been recovered from the premises. The body remains at the scene and the coroner has been notified. A post mortem will direct the further course of any investigation.

“No other injuries have been reported. A technical investigation of the scene will be conducted. Enquiries are ongoing.”
