Who is the man who has been arrested of killing Irish Soldier Sean Rooney?

The description of the man who killed Sean Rooney has been reported by the Agence France-Presse (AFP) that “The main shooter has been arrested by security forces after Hezbollah handed him over hours ago.”
The news agency say this information was given them by security officials.
The Hezbollah group had called the killing as “unintentional.”
It is not surprising that they have been able to arrest this killer and handed him to the UN officials.
Sean Rooney was killed on 14th December in a place near “the village of Al-Aqbiya in the country’s south, a Hezbollah stronghold”.
The Lebanese authorities taken a strong exception to Sean Rooney killings and vow to bring him killer to justice.

There was information earlier this week that a judicial official from Lebanon told that investigators had identified people suspected to be suspects. The information was that in the attackers “at least two” shooters.
Sean Rooney and his army were being followed by a UNIFIL vehicle and a Lebanese judicial source had said that an early preliminary findings shows his killing was “premeditated.”
Who was Private Seán Rooney?
Private Seán Rooney was an Irish soldier serving under the United nations mission in Lebanon.
He was from Newtowncunningham which is in Co Donegal.
Private Seán Rooney a 23 year old soldier, who joined the forces back in 2019.
He was with the home Unit of the 27 Infantry Battalion in Dundalk, Co Louth.
Private Seán had previous overseas experience and is said to have served under the 119 Infantry Battalion UNIFIL during that overseas mission.
There has been a statement from the Irish Defense Forces, which confirms his death.

It reads: “It is with deep regret that Óglaigh na hÉireann can confirm the death of one of our peacekeepers in a serious incident in Lebanon last night. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
“On 14 December 2022 at approx 2115hrs (Irish time), a serious incident took place involving members of 121st Infantry Battalion, UNIFIL.
“A convoy of two (2) Armoured Utility Vehicles (AUVs) carrying eight (8) personnel travelling to Beirut came under small arms fire.
“4 personnel were taken to Raee Hospital, near Sidon as a result of the incident. One soldier was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital and another has undergone surgery and is in a serious condition. The other two soldiers are being treated for minor injuries.
“The remaining 4 personnel from the convoy were not injured and are safe & accounted for. The names of personnel are not being released at this time, but the families of those involved have been informed. A full investigation will commence into this incident.”
