Singer Rab Noakes has died at the age of 75 years. He was born on 13th May,1947 in St. Andrews which is in Fife.
The Scottish singer who doubles as a songwriter was raised in Cupar and worked with the Neon media production label.
He initially worked with the New Castle folk rock band called Lindisfarne.
Noakes is reported to have made his “Turn a Deaf Ear” song out of their debut album titled Nicely Out of the Tune.
Aside the Lindisfarne band, he was also a backing vocals for the first album of Gerry Rafferty.
He equally played guitar for Gerry Rafferty’s “Can I Have My Money Back” album.

The singer was also a founding member of the 1972 Folk rock band, stealers and Wheel. The singer reportedly left the Stealers Wheel band which was formed by Joe Egan and Gerry Rafferty, even before they could come out with their first album.
Rab Noakes first solo work was in 1970 which had others like Robin McKidd, Ronnie Rae in it.
The singer whose active years in music spanned from 1970 to 2022 also worked with the BBC Radio in Scotland.
He had to leave the cooperation in order to work on his own production company he called Neon.

She was the wife of Scottish singer and music producer.
She was born on 14th August 1956, but unfortunately died on 1st May,2021.
The late wife of Rap Noakes who died at 64 was noted for being a training practitioner.
She also had a career in radio as well as in Television, where she worked as a producer.
Stephy Pordage had worked with a trade Union company that was into training especially at the work place.
The company name was Workbase and she had to set up what looked like a sister company of Workbase in her native Scotland.
Stephy Pordage also worked as muse and manager for Rab Noakes. She equally helped in her husband’s production company called Neon.
The company was into production in television, radio and music. Stephy was at the television aspect of Neon.
Stephy along with her husband by 1990s were providing content for ” BBC One1, BBC Scotland, BBC Four4, STV, Radio 2, Radio Scotland and Radio 4″. Their content was mostly about music.
