Who is Nicole Aunapa Mann?

Nicole Mann was born in Petaluma, California.

Nicole Mann attended Rancho Cotate High School, Rohnert Park, California, in 1995.

Her graduated with a Bachelor  degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in 1999.

She further earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. She did specialized in Fluid Mechanics from Stanford University in 2001.

Nicole Man was one of the  eight members of the 21st NASA astronaut class who were chosen in 2013.

Nicole Mann’s training at the Astronaut Candidate Training “included intensive instruction in International Space Station systems, Spacewalks, Russian language training, robotics, physiological training”.

Other parts of her training include T-38 flight training, and water and wilderness survival training.

Nicole Mann completed Astronaut Candidate training in July 2015, after two years of intensive training.

Nicole was given the role of T-38 Safety and Training Officer after her course.

She equally recently completed a tour as the Assistant to the Chief for Exploration.

The versatile woman led “the astronaut corps in the development of the Orion spacecraft, Space Launch System (SLS), and Exploration Ground Systems (EGS).”

Nicole Mann has a huge task of  currently undergoing trainig for NASA’s SpaceX Crew-5 mission, the fifth rotational mission to the International Space Station aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon spacecraft.
