We will look at Natally Garcia who was fired barely a month after turning her classroom into a boxing ring.

Who is Natally Garcia?

She is a 24 year old teacher. Garcia worked as a substitute teacher in Texas.

She was  a substitute teacher at Kimbrough Middle School in Mesquite.

She was hired on 6th March and fired on 12th April.

The 24 year old teacher pair students to fight each other in class with some of them watching the door in case school authorities are coming.

This class turned boxing ring has made some of the students “battered and bloody”.

How was Natalyy Garcia plan uncovered?

A student recorded the fighting bout and that was how the 24 year old teacher was fired and immetditely placed under investigation.

The Mesquite ISD in a statement said:“Her actions are appalling and intolerable.”

Though she warned her students not to record the “in class fights”, some did and that was how she was unmasked.

The fights were supervised by the teacher with her shouting “30 seconds”  in the video before one fight began.

Beatriz Martinez who is a parents to a child in Garcia class said: “I was devastated. I was like, I couldn’t watch the full video.”

She added that: “I had to stop it multiple times because I didn’t think it was real. I was like, this must be a prank. This is not real.“

“There’s no explanation, she just wanted those kids to fight.”

Mesquite ISD who issued a statement said: “Our investigation revealed that this substitute teacher encouraged students to fight each other during class, outlined rules for the students to follow and even instructed a student to monitor the classroom door while the fights took place.”

“As educators, our hearts are heavy knowing that an individual entrusted with the supervision and care of our students could behave in this manner, and we share the disgust that the families of students in this class must feel.”
