Who is Nana Ama Mcbrown?

Nana Ama Mcbrown was born as Felicity Ama Agyemang. She is Ghanaian actress, TV presenter and to what is unknown to most of a you a music writer.

She was born on 15th August,1973 in Kumasi in the Ashanti region of Ghana.

Nana Ama McBrown rose to fame with her role in the television series Tentacles and  further perpetuated her dominance in the movies sector with Kumawood movies like Asoreba and Kumasi Yonko among others.

McBrown is the host of McBrown kitchen as well as the entertainment show United Showbiz that draws thousands of viewers every weekend on UTV.

McBrown was born to her mother Cecilia Agyenim Boateng and  father Kwabena Nkrumah.

She has six other siblings and her parents divorced  when McBrown was quiet young.

This forced her mother to give her and her siblings out for adoption. This was when her father left them after the divorced and her mother was unable to cater for them.

Nana Ama McBrown was adopted by  both Kofi McBrown and her own aunt. The name of McBrown’s aunt that adopted her along with Mr. McBrown is Madam Betty Obiri Yeboah.

Ama McBrown regards her aunt as her real mother and speaks highly of her.

She had her education at  St. Peter’s International Residential School and later  Minnesota International.

McBrown was moved again to Central International and finally to  Kwadaso L.A. J.S.S.

It is not clear why McBrown parents were moving her from school to school.

She could not complete her basic education and which denied her the chance to have a proof of the numerous schools she attended.

She could not sit for the Basic education certificate and continue her formal education and so was enrolled at College of Business where she ended with a secretarial certificate.

McBrown’s chance against odds of poverty.

Her story so far showed McBrown was surrounded by poverty and was on course to embracing poverty.

However there was a call for audition which was announced by Miracle films on a radio station and she responded.

She was given the chance to work on the costumes of the cast, but as fate had it she was rather finally given the chance to play the lead role by the director who happened to be Samuel Nyamekye.

It was that role that led her to tentacles which catapulted her career and revealed the Nana Ama McBrown we know today.

Today,McBrowns appears in almost every advertisement you see on your television screen.

Nana Ama McBrown’s dating and marriage life.

McBrown  dating life like most celebrities cannot be recounted.

She was first rumored to be dating a guy she has appeared in most movies with. His name is Omar Sheriff Captan, but both had maintained at the time that there was nothing between them.

McBrown then briefly dated Musician Okyeame Kwame back in 2004. She support him greatly and traveled with him through his musical tours.

McBrown is married to his longtime boyfriend Maxwell MawuMensah and they have a daughter together.
