He was born in Marrakech to Spanish mother and French father. He first played for USM Casablanca and later played for Nice starting from 1953.

Many are asking if the legendary player and recorder setter was married.
Just Fontaine was married to his wife Arlette Fontaine.
Their marriage is said to have been more than 60 years.
The later football forward gave more details about his marriage to Arlette Fontaine.
He revealed in an interview that he first met his wife in 1959.
Strangely, he added that he met her while he was warming up on the field in the stadium.
Sadly there is not much information about Just Fontaine wife. We cannot talk about about her career and if she had children with her husband.
Other records say the former France International had two children. They named his children as being one son and a daughter.
