He was an American singer, songwriter and guitarist, who was born as David Van Cortlandt Crosby.

He was born on 14th August,1941 to his father,Floyd Crosby, a famous  cinematographer.

Aside his  solo career, which he had great success, he was also a band member. David Crosby was a founding member of the the Byrds as well as Crosby, Stills & Nash.

He is credited as having helped in producing the Byrds first album which was a great success.

Crosby was also the producer of their 1973 reunion album.

He became part of the Crosby, Stills and Nash band in 1968 and they came out with their first album. The Crosby,Stills &Nash band which is shortened as CNS won a Grammy award in 1969.

It was an  Grammy Award for Best New Artist of 1969.  He along with Nash had three gold albums back in the 70s and the three men along with their new member,Neil Young came together in a reunion which went for decades.

David Crosby’s work in the two band of the Byrds and the CSNY saw an estimated albums sales amounting to over 35 million.

He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame on two occasions. The two occasions are his work on the Byrds and that of the CNS band.

Aside music, he had his voice in politics.

She is David Crosby wife. Jan Dance got married to him in 1987. Jan Dance was 35 at the time while Crosby was 45, a ten year old gap.

The wedding took place at the Hollywood Church of religious Science.

It was Stephen Stills, Crosby band mate, who gave Jan Dance away to him.

There are no details of the Jan Dance and her husband having children. Crosby had many children with most of his numerous girlfriends  before that famous marriage.
