He is said to be a member of Discord channel which goes by the name “Thug Shaker Central.”
The group is said to be “devoted to video games and guns”.
The “Thug Shaker Central” group was put together during the peak of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is invite-only chat group.
A member within the Thug Shakers Central group told the Washington post that:
“He’s a smart person. He knew what he was doing when he posted these documents, of course. These weren’t accidental leaks of any kind”.
He added that he never intended for these documents to leak, but to stay within the chatroom.
However, the documents were posted on social media and finally taken by Russia media outlets.
A member of the group also told of the real mission of the group. He said
“This guy was a Christian, anti-war, just wanted to inform some of his friends about what’s going on,” said one acquaintance. “We have some people in our group who are in Ukraine. We like fighting games, we like war games.”
Jack Teixeira behavior has been one of national security breach recorded in what has been described as in the last ten years.
