Who is Gabriel Jesus?
Gabriel Fernando de Jesus is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a forward for English Premier league side Arsenal.
Gabriel Jesus was born on 3rd April, 1997 in São Paulo, but grew up in the neighborhood of Jardim Peri.
The Arsenal player began his career at the senior club level at Palmeiras, where due to hard, Jesus was voted as Best Newcomer at the famous Capeonato Brasileiro Serie A in 2015.
Gabriel Jesus also won the Copa do Brasil in 2015 and the Bola de Ouro in 2016. He win in 2016 was his contribution in helping his club Palmeiras win their first ever national national league title in 22 years.
Propelled by such a huge success at Palmeiras, Gabriel Jesus signed with English club Manchester City in 2017 in a transfer that was worth £27 million.
Gabriel Jesus went ahead to win four Premier League titles as well as three EFL Cups and the FA Cup with City.
He joined Arsenal in July,2022 at a fee that sort of doubled his transfer fee to Manchester City. His deal to join Arsenal was worth £45 million and he was given the number 9 shirt.
Gabriel Jesus made his debut for Arsenal on 5th August, 2022 in their 2-0 away win against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
At the national side, Gabriel Jesus scored seven goals at the youth side and that includes reaching the final of the 2015 FIFA U-20 World Cup as well as the 2016 Summer Olympics.
At the senior, Jesus was part of the team that went for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the Copa America in 2019 and 2021, where the won the 2019 edition of the tournament.
