Who is Freya Skye?The UK’s Junior Eurovision Rep.

Who is Freya Skye?

She is a the UK’s representative for the Junior Eurovision.

Skye is a thirteen year old girl.

She is from Hertfordshire and will be the one standing out for the UK at the junior division of Eurovision.

Lucky  and excited Freya Skye had this to say about her being chosen.

The 13 year old said: “I feel so lucky to have been given the opportunity to be a part of something so exciting”.

Patricia Hidalgo,Director of BBC Children’s and Education, said: “Freya is an amazing talent and she immediately stood out. Her voice is incredible, so we knew she would be able to showcase such a big song.

“She’s also a very special, self-effacing young lady who will be a great ambassador for the UK.”

Why endeared Freya Skye to the judges?

The BBC said the youngster was chosen because of what they say was her “genuine star quality”.

She has a song called “lose My Head” and that song is under the management of the team that equally worked artist like Ava Max, Pharrell Williams as well as Megan Thee Stallion.

Freya selection was being done by CBBC with the famous BBC Studios’ entertainment and their music division.

Freya song is said to be about friendship, how to move ahead with one’s life and how to also leave the past behind you.

This will be the UK’s first after 15 years absence, after their  last appearance in 2003 and 2005 with ITV support.
