We will look at Chris Jones Jr, the UVA gunman. We will look at his motives for the unfortunate killings and what he told his father before engaging in that barbaric venture.
Who is Chris Jones Jr?
He is a 22 year old ex-footballer of the Virginia University redshirt.
He was a running back of the school team.
He is the son of Christopher Jones Sr.
The former football player has a record of being investigated for possessing a gun.
He is part of individuals who were been monitored by the threat assessment team of the University.
Another student had pre -informed the university that the 22 year old had a gun.
The University through its students affairs office tried interviewing Jones Jr room mates.
The room mates told the University that they have not seen such a gun.
The 2021 investigation by the students affair office of the University further revealed that Jones Jr was arrested for the offense of a “concealed weapons violation in 2021”.
Jones Jr did not cooperate with the University in their bid to unravel the truth about it.

He had told his father of issues he had in school. The issues, Christopher Jones Jr. mentioned was related to bullying.
His father told NBC12 in an interview that: “He had some problems,” Jones Sr. said of Jones Jr., a former UVA running back. “The last time I talked to him, he said some people was picking on him or whatever. He didn’t know how to handle it. I just told him, ‘Go to school. Don’t pay them no mind. Do what you got to do.'”
Jones Jr is still a student of the University, but is not with the football team again.
It is not clear if the the three killed were part of those bullying him or not.

One of Chris Jones Jr victims is Devin Chandler. He is player with the Junior redshirt who used to play as a wide receiver. Devin Chandler came to the Virginia football team from his former base of Wisconsin.
Chandler is from North Carolina, but lives in Tennessee.
Another victim is Lavel Davis Jr. He was a cousin to Sean Lampkin who is an assistant coach of the Newberry College football team.
He was standout wide receiver and had 25.8 yards record during reception as a freshman back in 2020.
This record of his is the second of such average in the whole nation.
Sean Lampkin had this to say concerning his cousin’s death.He wrote: “Saddening, saddening news this morning. God took one of his most kind, humble, loving soldiers off of the battlefield last night. Please pray for my family as we are devastated by the passing of my cousin Lavel Davis Jr. Love and already miss you, kid.”
His family issued this statement following his unfortunate passing.
“On behalf of D’Sean’s parents, Happy and Sean Perry, and their entire family, we thank the South Florida and Charlottesville communities for the outpouring of support during this impossibly tragic time.”
The family further added: “Right now, Happy and Sean will not speak publicly about the incident as their grief is only beginning, and out of respect for the University of Virginia community which has been terrorized by another mass shooting in the United States”.
D’Sean Perry was a linebacker who is from Miami.
His last game was his team’s match against Pittsburgh which was on last Saturday.
He has been a regular player and is said to have played almost all games in their last three seasons.
