Chukwuma Onwuemelie who is also known as “Blue Cloth Bandit” is a serial robber.
He has been accused of 68 armed robberies.
He was arrested on Wednesday, police announced in a press release.
The robberies occurred throughout the LA area.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, he allegedly “used a blue cloth to cover the handgun used in the robberies that occurred at gas stations, 7-11s and Walmarts.”
 LAPD said in a press release that:
“The suspect would conceal himself by wearing different hats, a face mask, and rubber gloves.”
“The same vehicle was used in many of the robberies, and the same suspect was linked to the robberies based on several factors.”

His latest robbery case occurred on 23rd September,2022.
Detectives had crafted a plan by initiating surveillances and serving a search warrant.
The suspect then appeared as if he was purchasing items from a convenience store. He then revealed his weapon which was covered in a blue cloth.
In the video which can be seen below, the suspect was wearing gloves and a hat that hides his face.
Police after the arrest, recovered a firearm and other sources valued as evidence from the scene of Onwuemelie’s latest alleged robbery. These all linked him to the robbery.
He has since been charged with 16 counts of robbery.
