He was born on 20th May,1927 as Harry Peter “Bud” Grant Jr.
Bud was an American football defensive who ended up becoming a head coach.
He was equally a player in the National Basketball Association(NBA).
Bud Grant played with the Minneapolis Lakers in the NBA as well as the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football league(NFL).
The former player and coach had his education at the University of Minnesota.
He played three sports while in school. The three sports that played while in school include Football, Basketball and Baseball.
The other teams that the late 95 year old played for include the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and that of the CFL.
His coaching career saw him coach the Minnesota Vikings. It was a coaching career with a success.
The former coach was with the team between 1967 to 1983 when he was their second head coach.
He return in 1985 as their fourth head coach.
Bud had a total of 18 seasons with the Vikings. His success at the team as their coach is the incredible record of four Super Bowl appearance.
He also had eleven amazing division titles and one league championship.
The late 95 year old also had a National Football conference championship under his belt while he was with the Vikings.
