A young girl and a woman has been hospitalize following a Tuesday morning incident at Clarecastle in Co Clare.
The two are said to be in a critical condition in a hospital.
Gardai who attended to calls went to the scene at the home.
The officers met young girl who was injured seriously along with a woman who was found unconscious.
Gardai statement has indicated that the two are in a critical condition in University Hospital Limerick.
Their statement reads: “An incident room has been established at Ennis Garda Station and a Senior Investigating officer has been appointed to oversee the investigation.
