The name of the suspect has not been given. However police had released a 21 seconds video that catalogues events that led to the vital shooting.
In the surveillance images that were released by the police shown “a man wearing a backward black baseball hat and a black jacket with a red and white design on the front and patches on the shoulder inside the smoke shop at 304 Lenox Ave. Sunday night”.
There is also a video which came without sounds. In the video which was obtained by the NewYork Post, the suspect was seen standing by a row of refrigerators while holding things in his hand.
The shooter shot on his 36 year old victim around 7:50 p.m according to police records. This was preceded “by an argument between the gunman in black and the victim”.

The victim was shot both at his head and back. He was first shot at the head and he collapsed.
He attempted to move, after the shooting, but the suspect shot him again at the back, before making his way out of the facility.
Police believed the suspect “fled on foot northbound on Lenox Avenue toward West 126th Street”.
