Two picked up following the killing of US- based Ghanaian driver.
Law enforcement officers in the US have revealed that two suspects have been picked up and are now in custody for the murder of the Ghanaian Taxi driver Kutin Gyimah.
The two according to the law enforcement authorities are the lead suspect in the attack along side his mother.
The local Police indicated that the 20-year-old Austin Amos is the suspect who has surrendered to the police.
They further added that another suspect has been detained and will soon face charges including that of gang assault and theft of service.
Two other suspects who are said to be on the run include 15-year-old girl known to the NYPD as well as a 13-year-old girl.
Another suspect is 16 year old who was at the scene of the crime but isn’t expected to be charged with assault.
The Ghanaian, 52-year-old Kutin Gyimah who went out for his usual duties met his untimely death on Saturday after he was attacked by five unprovoked passengers whom he dropped off at Arverne Project and Beach 54 Street in the Rockaways.
The passengers whom late Gyimah picked, however refused to pay for their fare after he dropped them at their destination. They passengers then bolted after they alighted from the car.
This forced the 52 year driver to give them a wild chase, the passengers later ganged up and attacked him.
The late driver, Mr Gyimah is said to have hit his head on cement.
He was then take to the St. John’s hospital, but he unfortunately passed.
