SHS student battered for failing to pay ¢5 debt

A final year high school student has been battered for failing to pay a ¢5 debt.

The student is a final year student of the Twifu Hemang Technical Institute.The student whose name is given as

Davis Nkrumah is now  battling for his life that unexpected assault.

The suspect whose name was given as Salinko is said to have subjected his victim to a machete attack.

The incident happened on 7th May,2023 at Jukwa in the Twifu Hemang Lower Denkyira District of the Central Region.

The suspect is said to have waited for weeks for his money, but the victim was in school all this while.

When he finally got information that the victim had return, he went to his house with a machete and without any provocation, assaulted the victim.

The victim and his household had to scream for help as the assault continue. Neighbors had to run to help the final year high school student. The suspect was finally disarmed and arrested

The suspect later said he regretted his action and did not know what drove him to send a cutlass to the victim’s house.

Salinko, the suspect is now in custody at the “Jukwa Police station assisting in investigations”.

The victim is currently receiving treatment at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.
