Damon Welch was born on 6th November,1959. Her sibling was Latanne “Tahnee” Welch. Tahnee was born on 26th December, 1961, two years after Damon.

A year after Tahnee birth, her parents separated. Raquel marriage with her first husband ended with a divorce in 1964.

She is an American actress and model. She is the child of Raquel who have taken after her mother in her profession.

She was born in San Diego which is in California. Her father is James Welch, whom we will be discussing about shortly.

Her mother, Raquel appeared in Playboy, but refused to go naked. She also spoke about her sexiest woman career saying:

“I was not brought up to be a sex symbol, nor is it in my nature to be one. The fact that I became one is probably the loveliest, most glamorous and fortunate misunderstanding”.

Hugh Hefner later spoke about Raquel stance against nudity saying: “Raquel Welch, one of the last of the classic sex symbols, came from the era when you could be considered the sexiest woman in the world without taking your clothes off. She declined to do complete nudity, and I yielded gracefully. The pictures prove her point.”

Just like her mother, Tahnee Welch also appeared in Playboy for their November,1995 edition. She appeared in their cover page with her clothes, but had a nude pictorial inside of the magazine.

She equally appeared in the  “American Vogue, Italian Vogue, British GQ, Interview, French Marie Claire, Italian Moda, and German Bunte magazines”.

Who was Raquel Welch?

She was born as Jo Raquel Welch on 5th September,1940.

Raquel Welch was an American actress who rose to fame with her role in the 1966 movie titled Fantastic Voyage.

She then had a contract with  20th Century Fox. The 20th Century Fox further lent Raquel contract  to Hammer Film Production, a British studio.

Raquel Welch made her One Million years  B.C in the 1966 movie.

She  had  three lines dialogue in the film but something of her made it spectacular.

She is said to have worn a bikini which became a best part of the movie and made her a best seller posters.

That poster made her appeared as an international symbol.

Other roles of which Raquel Welch appeared include 100 riffles, Bedazzled, Myra Breckinridge among others.

She became an icon in the film industry especially in the 1960s and the 1970s.

She is an award winning actress as she won a Golden Globe Award in 1974. It was an award for Best motion picture actress in a musical or comedy.

It was an award which was in recognition of the The Three Musketeers.

Raquel was equally nominated for Golden Globe award for best actress in Television and it was also in recognition of her role in the movie  Right to Die.

She was ranked as number three on the Playboy list of “100 sexiest Stars of the Twentieth Century” List.

He got married to Raquel Welch on 8th May,1959.

James Welch was Raquel Welch  school’s sweetheart. It was a happy marriage and produced children. James Welch and Raquel had two children together.

Things however turned sour when they had to separate in 1962.

The difficulty of their marriage ended finally in 1964 with a divorce. The famous actress however decided to keep her name “Welch”.

She went ahead to remarry.
