Meet the German woman who took her son to Syria to join ISIS
The woman was convicted and found guilty for membership in the Islamic State group and other related offenses. Her other offenses include travelling to Syria for her son to join ISIS. She was sentenced to three and half years in prison for those offenses.
The Duesseldorf state court in German said the woman Verena M., whose full name wasn’t released in line with German privacy rules, was convicted of membership in a foreign terrorist organisation.
The other offenses that is sending her to prison include abduction of a minor.
When did this German woman take her son to Syria to join ISIS
The German’s court found that the woman traveled to Syria in 2015 with her son. The son was only 5 the time and she did this without the knowledge of the child’s father.
