The Dublin businessman who was stabbed by machete-wielding thugs.
He is man in his 4os.
He is said to have been attacked at a car park in Finglas after a gym session.
The unnamed man was allegedly injured to the chest and the face.
The man was rushed to the Mater Hospital.
The Irish Mirror reports that the man was conscious after the attack.
His attacker came out of his vehicle and attacked him when the businessman was going to his car at the parking lot.

The paper reports that locals of the area went to his aid after the attack.
An unnamed source is quoted to have said: “It’s absolutely shocking, he was walking back to his car when he was attacked. This happened in the morning. There were lots of people going about their business where it happened. The attackers jumped out of a car and carried out the assault before fleeing the scene. People can’t believe it.”

The place of the attack was condoned off for Gardai to perform a technical examination on the crime.
They confirmed the incident but said no arrest has been made yet.
A Gardai spokesman said: “No arrests have been made at this stage of this ongoing investigation.
“Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward. Any road users or pedestrians who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Main Street area of Finglas between 10am and 11am are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Finglas Garda Station on 01 666 7500, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
