The 24 year old is a British Formula One driver. George who was born in Norfolk in England is with the a first for Mercedes team.
George Russell joined the Mercedes from Williams. He joined Williams in 2019 and had his first race with them during the 2019 Australia Grand Prix.
Russell has been a member of the Mercedes and raced with them in their Junior Driver programme.
His stay with the Mercedes Junior programme was in 2017.
His switch from the Williams to Mercedes occurred in 2022 and his first amazing victory with them at the famous 2022 São Paulo Grand Prix.
Russell rise to formula One was not an easy one.
He made his first ever single seater driver in Renault 2.0 Alps back in 2014.
He agreed a deal with the Prema Powerteam, but power play saw him rather made it to the Koiranen GP.
Russell’s formula 4 journey began in 2014 too.
He raced for Lana Racing during the BRDC Formula 4 Championship.
He achieved a unique feature of being a youngest ever to get the MCLaren Autosport BRDC Award in December,2014.
He made it to that precious award after going past Alexander Albon, BEn Barnicoat and others.
He smiled home with a £100,000 cash prize for that amazing feat.
George Russell also registered his presence at the 2015 FIA Formula 3 European Championship.
He made it to Formula 3 after graduating to it in 2015.
