He is a 74 year old man.
Richard Harvey’s home is in Odessa Township, where he is staying with his family.
He shot a pro-life volunteer in his home.
The woman had come into their home in a door to door campaign.
The 84 year woman said she was urging Harvey’s wife to vote against Proposal 3 in the November’s election.
The woman was ordered to leave the house.
The woman added that as she was getting to her car, she heard a shot and felt pains.
She drove to a nearby police station and reported Richard Harvey’s behavior.
Harvey later told WOOD-TV that it was an accidental shot.

He added that he told woman repeatedly to leave their home.
He said he ordered her to her after the latter started arguing with his wife.
“I’m thinking she’s going to smack Sharon with it,” Harvey said. “So without thinking, I went to club it away with the rifle and my finger was still in the trigger guard. It went off and hit her.”
Michigan State Police who investigated the shooting, has recommended to the prosecutor’s office for Harvey to be charged.

Harvey’s victim is Joan Jacobson.
She is an 84 year old woman.
She was canvassing in a door to door pro-life campaign.
It was a campaign in anticipation for a “proposed constitutional amendment that would guarantee abortion access for women in the state”, Michigan police has disclosed.
She reported the shooting and received treatment later.
