Who is Najib Razak?

He is the first former Malaysian leader to be jailed.

Mohammad Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak  is the sixth Prime Minister of Malaysia. He was born on 23rd July,1953 , the son  of  Abdul Razak Hussein, the second Prime Minister of Malaysia.

Najib Razak was the chairman of the Barisan Nasional coalition  between 2009 to 2018. He was equally the President of the United Malays National Organization from 2008 to 2018.

His UMNO had the majority in Malaysian parliament and controlled the government for over 60 years. They coalition had its shock in 2018 when they were defeated in the general election.

Najib Razak became a parliamentarian at an age of 23 after he took over from his passed away while on the the Pekan Parliamentary seat.

Najib Razak has been married twice with each marriage producing children.

His first marriage with “Kui Yie” produced three children. The children he had in his first marriage are Mohd Nizar Najib who was born in 1978. His second and third are Mohd Nazifuddin Najib and Puteri Norlisa Najib.

Mohammad Nazifuddin bin Mohammad Najib, his second born is a  businessman. The government of Malaysia filed  a tax evasion charge against him over a RM37.6 million in an unpaid taxes in 2019.

These were taxes he was supposed to pay between 2011 to 2017.

Najib Razak fourth and fifth children are with his second wife Rosmah.

One of them is Riza Shahriz bin Abdul Aziz.

He is better known as  Riza Aziz.He  is a Malaysian film producer.

He is co-founder of  Red Granite Pictures which is a Los Angeles based film production company.
