He was a 62 year old man from Kerry.
Matt Foley was a member of the Kerry diary. The 62 year old diary worker sustained a workplace accident.
He was working at his base in Listowel in Kerry on Monday, when the unfortunate incident happened.
He was then transported to University Hospital in Kerry. He was sent to hospital by air possibly due to the severity of his injuries.
What kind of injuries did Matt Foley sustained?
Pat Murphy, who is the CEO of the Kerry Diary paid gloriously tribute to his fallen colleague.
He expressed his sympathies to his family and said , Matt Foley’s death was a shock to them.
Gardai had earlier on Monday confirm the workplace accident, the 62 year old suffered.

They issued a statement in which they said:
“Gardaà and emergency services attended the scene of a workplace accident that occurred on a premises in Listowel, Co Kerry at approximately 7:45 pm 6th February 2023,”
“A man aged in his 60s was conveyed to Cork University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries sustained as a result of this incident. He has since passed away.
“A file will be prepared for the Coroner. The Health and Safety Authority has been notified.”
The health and safety authority in Ireland are conducting an investigation on Matt Foley’s workplace accident and death.
We don’t have much information about Matt Foley family including that of his wife and children. He will surely be missed by his family and friends.
