Who is Leslie Stewart?

He is s 74 year old farmer.

He is Donegal farmer from Thorn Letterkenny.

Leslie Stewart has been banned from keeping animals for as many as 10 years.

This follows shocking images which showed the conditions under which the 74 year old kept the animals.

He has thus been found guilty of animal cruelty and has been slapped with a number of charges.

These shocking images show the horrific conditions in which a cruel farmer held his animals.

This is not his first as he has been ban in the past for two years.

Leslie Stewart received what has been called a suspended jail sentenced in 2016.

This was after he was alleged to have starved animals on his property.

The following pictures shows how he kept dogs in a van without basic necessities like water.

There is also a picture of sheep carcass which has been left unattended to. There are also images of how Leslie kept pigs in a trailer even without water for them to drink.

The rescued animals which has been re-homed showed symptoms of heat stroke.

ISPCA officers along with Veterinary officers also found donkeys and horses who were almost starving on Leslie Stewart’s farm.

The Judge who sat on the case,Judge Paul Kelly said :“I want to be sure that there are no animals on his property, I want to verify that. This man should not be near or in control of any living creature.”

Judge Paul Kelly added that he would have jailed him, but for his age. Animals welfare officers have been to his property a number of times and always see the animals in a distress situation.
