Meet Keycia Johnson and Lisa Cooper:Texas caretakers charged with beating 87-year-old man

Who are Keycia Johnson and Lisa Cooper?
They are two care givers in Texas nursing home.
The two are said to have beaten an 87 year old man at the nursing home.
Lisa Cooper is a 61 year old woman while Keycia Johnson is also a 57 year old woman.
They two men turned themselves in at the Galveston County Jail.

The faced charges following a pending investigation after they were caught on a surveillance camera causing injury to the 87 year old man.
Their charges are second-degree felony.
They have equally being fired from the nursing home.
How was Keycia Johnson and Lisa Cooper caught?
The family of the 87 year old told Fox 26 that they installed a surveillance system in his room.
This was done following a complaint of previous case.
They added that the later issue came when they received a call from the home that their family member fell off his bed and he was being taken to the hospital.
The family further added that their grand father injuries included “bruises, two black eyes and ultimately a neck brace”.
They added the injuries was not consisted with falling from a bed.
Solis who is a grand child of the 87 year old man said :
“I don’t even know how to explain it,” Solis said. “We’re in shock. Like [dang], that really happened to my grandpa.”
Nursing home issued a statement following Keycia Johnson and Lisa Cooper charges.
“We appreciate local authorities’ review and action surrounding the troubling incident that occurred on Sunday, October 2. Solidago Health and Rehabilitation continues to enforce strict policies prohibiting patient abuse and prompt action is always taken to ensure our residents are safe. Any violations of the abuse policy are reported to authorities for appropriate action such as in this case.
“In parallel to the external investigation, we launched an internal investigation, and the employees were immediately suspended. At the conclusion of the internal investigation, the employees involved in the incident were terminated as a result of violating the company’s policies.
“We will continue to review our systems and approaches to identify new opportunities to strengthen existing measures to safeguard the health and safety of our residents.”
