Who is Abraham Kibiwot?
Abraham Kibiwot is a Kenyan Steeplechase runner. He was born on 4th June,1996.
Kibiwot is a great athlete and he was a bronze medalist at the African Championships in Athletics in 2016.
He set a personal best of 8.09.25 minutes in 2016.
His breakthrough in the international scene was in 2013 at the African Youth Athletics Championships. He also took fifth in the 2000 metres in the steeplechase event.
The athlete made a significant move in 2015 by winning the Kenyan junior trials and winning a gold medal at the 2015 African junior athletics Championships.
He beat off competition from Ethiopian reigning youth Olympic champion,Wogene Sebisibe sidamo
in his backyard in Addis Ababa.
Abraham Kibiwot made a personal best of 8.22.10 minutes during the London Diamond League. This made him the second fastest in the under-20 category in that year. Kibiwot was only second to his fellow African and country man Nicholas Kiptanui Bett.

Abraham Kibiwot made it to the senior ranks in 2016, where he made it huge in the 2016 IAAF Diamond League circuit that year.
His personal best was 8.09.25 and was placed third in Doha. He worked harder and moved to second spot in Beijing,second to Ezekiel Kemboi.
Kibiwot made it to the first spot at Athetissima in Lausanne. Kibiwot records continued with a fifth place at the Herculis and the seventh again in the same year.
Abraham Kibiwot made an attempt at the 2016 Athletics Kenya Olympics Trials, but had to withdraw later.
His first major medal was won at the 2016 African Championship. It was a bronze behind Ethipia’s Chala Beyo and Tolosa Nurgi.
In the ongoing 2022 Commonwealth games in Birmingham, Abraham Kibiwot won the 10,000metres walk.
