We will look at the amazing Clovis Hung. We will examine how he graduated from College at 12 and with five degrees.

Who is Clovis Hung?

He is a 12 year old boy from California. He is the son of  Song Choi, his mother. He was home schooled by his mother to cover the basic curriculum while taking courses from Fullerton College.

The amazing young boy graduated from Fullerton College last week.

He graduated as the first youngest graduate from the College.

He enrolled into the college at the time he was only nine years.

The 12 year old was taken to the College from a traditional public school.

His mother had said at the time that her son was highly self-motivated and goal-oriented.

She said:

“Clovis is super inquisitive, mature, diligent, self-disciplined, and highly motivated,”  adding that: “He is also very curious and traditional public schools could not satisfy his curiosity, therefore, the best option was college.”

A 12-year-old boy who wanted a challenge graduated from a California college last week, where he was presented with a historic five degrees.

How did Clovis Hung obtain the 5 degrees in just 4 years?

The pre -teen graduated with degrees in “Associate of Arts degrees in History, Social Sciences, Social Behavior and Self-Development, Arts and Human Expression, and Science and Mathematics”.

His professors were worried for him given his age and that of his colleagues, but he is said to have adapted quickly.

Professor Kenneth Collins, who is a Biology professor  said :

“At first, I was a little worried about how he would relate to the other students given the age and developmental differences, however, those concerns were unfounded.” He further added that: “ Clovis has been a great mixture of ‘kid’ and college student.  He is mature enough that the other students take him seriously, but enough of a kid that they look after him like a younger brother and cheer him on.”

Hung spoke about his experience with his colleagues saying that:

“When I had questions, I asked them, and if they had questions, they’d ask me.”  He added that:  “They treated me like a little brother.”

Clovis Hung is said to have taken more courses after he “acclimated to college life.

This explains his ability to graduate with 5 degrees.

What do Clovis Hung to do in Future?

He is hoping to enter into the field of  aerospace engineering, piloting, or pediatrics.

The pre-teen was “elected to be Senator for Associated Students for the upcoming school year, where he will be taking STEM courses before he begins applying to universities”.
