Who was Bert Fields?

The famous Bertram Fields  was an American lawyer who worked in the field of entertainment. He was born on 31st March 31, 1929.

The celebrity lawyer, Bert Fields served as counsel for several leading film studios. Bert also worked with many celebrities and even lecture at Stanford and Harvard Law Schools.

He was also a musician  himself. He performed with  George Harrison who was his good friend and client.

Bert Field also recorded and performed professionally as a singer. He released his first ever single to celebrate his 92nd birthday with cover of the Gene Autry classic, “Back In The Saddle.”

Fields worked as an actor where he appeared as a District Attorney Hal Davies in the Dragnet 1967 episode “The Pyramid Swindle.”

Bert Fields who died at 93 has been married  three times. Fields wife was the one he married after his law school. She was his college sweetheart, Amy Markson.

Bert Fields share a son Amy and the name of their son is James Elder Fields.

Fields second marriage was with fashion model Lydia Minevitch in 1960. She was the  daughter of musician Borrah Minevitch whose divorce Bert Filed had handled two years prior to that marriage.

Lydia Minevitch unfortunately died of lung cancer in 1986. Fields had been together with Minevitch for 27 before her death.

Bert Fields third wife is Barbara Guggenheim. He met her after she hired him to defend her in 1989 after she was sued by Sylvester Stallone. The pair got married in 1991.
