He was born as Barry Douglas Lane. He was a British golfer, who was born on 21st June,1960.

He is a celebrated golfer and won the European Tour  on five occasions.

His active time in his career was between 1988 and 2004, the time when he won those 5 European official tours.

Barry Lane also played in the 1993 edition of the Ryder Cup. He also won the inaugural Andersen Consulting World Championship of Gold.

This championship happened in 1995. Barry Lane had success in the European Senior Tour. He won it eight times when he was in his fifties.

His wins in the European Tour Season tour occurred between 2010 and 2019.

He first qualified for the European tour in 1982. Between 1982 and 1984, Lane did not record huge success. He even failed to qualify in 1985, but came back to the tour in 1986. He had some success in 86 as he played 20 events and finished as 71 st.

His presence in 1987, saw him reached 27th. He won a prize of £20,000, for winning the inaugural Equity & Law Challenge.
