LOVE ISLand BROKE ME I was sobbing and desperate to leave
One of the of the this latest series of Love Island Jacques O’Neilly is reported to have said the the famous love reality show broke him and he was desperate to leave but was persuaded to stay. He indicated that his brokenness was due to what has been described as “bust-up” with rival Adam Collard over his desired partner Paige Thorne.
He added that he had to quit for fear that he might attack Adam who seem to be his rival over his preferred girl.
“I thought if I don’t get myself out things could go horribly wrong and I could get physical.”
The former Islander said he could not cope with what was happening.
“couldn’t cope” in the TV villa, adding: “Doing Love Island was the worst decision of my life.”
One could say Jacque needs anger management as this reality show is a game of mind play rather than physical.
Jacque,28, who had to walk out of the famed ITV show said “I was ready to break down.
“I was feeling so mentally drained, I just wanted to go home and get myself right.
“It broke me and I was already broken. I was crying my eyes out. I couldn’t cope.
“I was literally feeling awful. It was the worst I’d ever felt in my life.”
Jacques First ever interview after Love IsLand.
Jacque who granted his first ever interview after leaving the villa spoke about his struggle with mental health which is linked to ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder).
He added that he had told managers of the show of his condition even before the show began and indicated that
“At home you can remove yourself from situations, but in there you had to deal with every situation, and in that moment I took my microphone off, and walked straight through the front doors because I just wanted to get out of that place.
Love IsLand Producers wanted to still keep Jacques
“Producers tried coming to me, they were like, ‘Jacques, are you OK? I was saying, ‘I don’t want to speak to you or anyone. I want to be left to myself.’ It was too much.
“I was saying to them, ‘This is more than a TV show to me’, it was genuine feelings involved and my headspace wasn’t right to be in a TV show.
“I dealt with stuff in there that I’ve never dealt with in my life.”
Jacques indicated that he left the Villa on Sunday, but viewers only found out Tuesday and that he was coaxed back into the Villa barely a day after his exit.
The managers of the show was keen on keeping Jacque given his fan base on the show and the impact it could have on its popularity.
He said “That morning, I spoke to Mike, the big boss, and said I wanted to leave, ‘I’m ready to go, I want to get out of here.’
He further added that he had a “welfare chat” and was then “getting called to the Beach Hut where you speak to producers”.
He explained: “In the end I couldn’t deal with it, I wanted to get out of the place.
“I was crying, saying to them, ‘I’m ready to go home’.”
