INTERPOL naps a Japanese romance scammer in Ghana: set to be sent back to Japan

INTERPOL have arrested a Japanese national in Ghana. This follows a request by INTERPOL Japan.
The romance scam suspect is expected to be sent back to Japan. This is contained in a statement by the Ghana Police Service.
Starr news Sources say Mr. Morikawa Hikaru was detained in Ghana last month for allegedly staying in the country illegally.

A sources from Japanese police indicates that Morikawa and other members of his gang have swindled about 11,000 dollars from two people.
The mode of operation of the group is that they used false identities, such as an American writer, on a matchmaking app. They then tricked people into falling in love and after which they asked them for help in the form of money, including living expenses.
