We will give you a sneak peak to the horror that greeted the Texas mall where a gun man killed eight before being killed by officers.
We will tell you of the experience of the man who got to the scene first and tell you more of what he saw.
Steven Spainhouer was the first responder to the Texas mall shootings. He said his son who worked at the mall called to inform of the shooting and he rushed to the scene.
Steven Spainhouer said what he saw is an experience that he wish no one should ever see in their lives.
He told CBS News that:“I never imagined in 100 years I would be thrust into the position of being the first first responder o the site to take care of people.”
He said he could believed what he saw, indicating that:
“The first girl I walked up to was crouched down covering her head in the bushes, so I felt for a pulse, pulled her head to the side and she had no face.” Tragic! is it not?
Spainhouer also spoke about a child who survived after hiding under her dead mum’s body.
He said: “When I rolled the mother over, he came out. I asked him if he was OK and he said, ‘My mom is hurt, my mom is hurt,’”
He added that: “So rather than traumatize him anymore, I pulled him around the corner sat him down. He was covered from head to toe…like somebody poured blood on him.”
He said he tried saving three other people, but they died. He added that he will continue to live the rest of his life with the memory of what he saw when he got to the Texas mall where the shooting took place.
The good Samaritan said :“No one can see what they saw today and not be affected by it. It’s not a situation I would wish upon anybody, it’s just unfathomable to see carnage.”
It is rather unfortunate that when Spainhouer was working to save the lives of these people, bystanders were rather taking pictures of the whole episode.
