Be careful where you go to look for job: Court sentences man to death for raping, murdering job-seeker

We are in a desperate world and people are desperately looking for job. But you must be careful where you go to look for job,as a Nigerian woman had to exchange her life for a job.

The bbc is reporting that a court in Nigeria has sentenced a man to death by hanging. This is after he raped and murdered a woman he allegedly lured under false pretenses to what the woman thought was a job interview.

The woman Iniubong Umoren is said to have recently graduated in Philosophy from the University of Uyo, and was looking for paid work. This work was to precede the beginning of compulsory military service.

The wicked man after killing the 26-year-old, buried her in a shallow grave.

The man Uduak-Abasi Akpan was found guilty and sentenced by Akwa Ibom State High Court. Two other  individuals who are defendants – Frank Akpan and Anwan-Bassey Akpan – were however acquitted.

“Thank God they gave us justice. You can’t just kill my sister, bury her and go. All the family is happy with this judgement,” Iniubong Umoren’s brother, Ukeme, said on Thursday.
